I’ve been headphoning this rad set by Mieka Du Franx (aka Felinephonix). Ups to Duncan for turning me onto it. I’m loving the Undergroundburner set hosted here, but they all seem pretty solid. The Undergroundburner doesn’t get rockin’ until about a half hour into it, but it’s pretty smooth–nice 80’s vocally/synthy stabs with rolling, techy, acidy breaky basslines underneath. A sweet treat with a little kick. Makes me want to dust off some of my old records…

You definitely need to dust off those records, man. I know somewhere at the bottom of all that electronica there’s a Boston, Journey, Foghat, and/or Skynyrd album that is just craving some time under the needle!
Heh. My decks are emabarrasingly dusty. I find i’d rather rock an iPod playlist these days. Of course, whenever I’m in an environment where there’s a dj (which is exceedingly rare as of late), I wish I could get up there and play some decent records. “The dj is always greener” or something. Anyway, I’ve been digging bands more than beats these days. Bands with beats? Even better…
Glad to hear you are rawking out of late. It’s like Bob Seger said, “You can come back baby, rock and roll never forgets.”
Hi there! I am glad you enjoy my Underground Burner mix !
Stay tuned, I just rocked another tasty treat 😉
Keep it Hype, Mieka Du Franx (Felinephonix Music)
