Been really tired lately, so skipped my swim workout yesterday. Monday, I managed to drag myself out for an 83 minute run. Did the 8.3 mile loop I’ve been doing. It was a pretty decent pace and I felt pretty good at the end of it. Tired though. Did I mention that I’m really tired? I can’t seem to get enough sleep. Or to eat, for that matter. I’m going to try to hit the sack extra early to see if that helps…
Tonight I have my group workout. A run/bike brick–should be fun. I’ll update soon, including what’s been going on outside of training. Don’t get too excited as it’s not much, but I figured I’d update anyway…
Total Tri Training Numbers
Swim: 21090 meters
Bike: 213.6 miles
Run: 87.4 miles
Hey Chris,
I met you last week at Willo’s taco party. I’m the road racer, remember?! Willo forwarded me a link to your blog and said that I should email you regarding your fatigue. I’ve dealt with some fatigue / over training since I started racing and I know it’s brutal. Disrupted sleep pattern, loss of appetite, feeling like you have mono (!). Anyway, I thought I’d drop you a line to say hello and let me know if you have any questions or would just like to comiserate. Hope you are feeling better.
Kristin
Hey Kristin–
I totally remember you! Thanks for dropping by (thanks to willo too :). It’s funny you liken it to mono–that’s kind of how it feels to me sometimes–just drained. Basically, I’m finding that I need about 8 hours of shut-eye a night (as opposed to the six or so I usually require), otherwise I’m pretty useless the next day.
However, I’m not really experiencing the loss of appetite. If anything, I’m devouring anything in sight, heheheh.
Maybe after my tri, you can take me out and kick my ass in a bike ride… 🙂
